At Hippy Puppy we specialize in handmade natural soaps for your dog. Our natural dog shampoo bars are made with a combination of ingredients that are not only good for your pet, they are good for the environment too. Did you know that synthetic compounds can damage an animal's skin and fur? While essential oils in natural products will benefit your animal's coat and skin. By using a natural product on your dog you can eliminate the risk of pesticides that are common in lots of commercial products. These pesticides can trigger adverse side effects such as allergic reactions, which can often have serious complications.

Natural products are most often of high quality and handmade with care and will ensure your pets health and safety if they happen to ingest them. While we use our handmade soaps on our own pets, they are NOT tested on them. We use them because we know what the ingredients are and that they are completely safe and natural. We would even use these soaps on ourselves! Commercial made products often contain synthetics that can provoke more allergies in animals due to the additives used to preserve and color them.

Truth be told – most “soaps” you buy in stores and online aren't even really soap. They have had the natural gylcerins stripped out and most often contain petroleum products, artificial fragrances, synthetic and harsh chemicals that can strip the natural oils from your dogs coat, dry out their skin and can often cause irritation. Then many of us, after we've bathed our dogs, add more chemicals in the form of pesticides to kill insects. These can be toxic to dogs and to the people living with them! While our products are safe for dogs, NONE of our products that contain essential and/or fragrance oils should EVER be used on cats! Esssential/Fragrance oils are toxic to cats and should never be used on their skin!
